TMC 800-EFM External Feature Module For EV-4500 and ET-4300 Telephone Systems. Each External Feature Module offers ONE of the following features: Music On Hold Adapter, Door Intercom/Door and Opener Adapter, External Paging Adapter.
How do you set it up?
To make use of the 800 EFM simply connect it up to four lines, follow the instructions to set the dip switches correctly, and it will be ready to stream on-hold music to all Epic phones -- there's no need to make any direct connection to any phone.
Once you've completed the initial adapter setup, connect an audio source such as a tape deck, CD player, or radio that provides your on-hold audio content. You can use any standard player as long as it has an audio output -- all cables you'll need are included.
If you choose a CD player or tape deck, you'll need to loop your CD or tape continuously. To loop a CD continuously, all you need is a CD player with a continuous loop feature (repeat). To loop a tape continuously, you'll need an endless loop cassette tape - these work with any cassette player and usually have a 2 to 6 minute length.
Door Intercom/Door Opener Adapter:
Enables you to connect a door intercom speaker to the system. Also enables you to connect a magnetic door strike, which can be opened from any station. Perfect for warehouses, front doors or unattended entrances.
External Paging Adapter:
Allows the connection of an external amplifier and speaker to the system, from paging from any EPIC phone. Perfect for warehouses, outdoors, or for making announcements throughout an entire office.
