The expansion cage expands the Coral IPx 500/800 system capacity by adding ports to the system. The expansion cage includes I/O card slots for peripheral cards and a slot for the power supply unit. The rear panel of the cage includes two expansion connectors that are used to connect the expansion cage to other cages and one power supply duplication connector. Up to two expansion cages may be installed in any IPx 500/800 system configuration.
